  • Track your own schedule—and maximize collaboration with an unlimited number of group, department, and corporate calendars
  • Set up an unlimited number of event categories
  • Enter contacts, and invite them to meetings, appointments, and other events
  • Restrict access to certain calendars and events
  • Import to and and export from other calendaring tools
  • Search events by key word

Viewing information
Would you like to view calendar information by day? Week? Month? Year? The user-friendly viewing architecture of Net.Events offers you all these options.

The screens for Contacts, Export and Import, and Options, among others, use intuitive layouts and familiar navigation tools, so you can get up and running with Net.Events quickly and easily, with little or no training.

Event types are color-coded, making it easier to spot appointments, for example, on a crowded schedule. Similarly, you'll quickly spot recurring events, designated by a special icon.

Entering events
Entering events on your Net.Events calendar is easy. The flexible "Sharing" option lets you indicate who is allowed to see the information you enter. You can even enter events in your "personal" calendar, viewable only by you.

Define additional calendar categories by department, committee, or even the entire organization—the number of schedules and schedule categories available is virtually unlimited.

Even collaborative calendaring is a piece of cake. Scheduling a meeting? Enter all the information associated with the event, from basic date and time to recurrence, event type, and notes.

The Add/Edit option not only lets you e-mail invitations to other committee members, but it also gives you the ability to insert the URLs (intranet or Web addresses) of information associated with your event. Co-workers whom you invite to your meeting can click the link on the event and go directly to the associated information.

For example, let's say you post a calendar notice of a committee meeting to Net.Events, and there's a document you want the committee members to read before the meeting. Simply:

  • Post the document to your Enlighten.Net intranet
  • Place a link to it right on the event notice
  • Either insert the link or mention it in your e-mail invitation

Your committee members can click directly from the event marker to the material you want them to read.

You can even add images to your event entries! Having an office party? Get everyone in a festive mood by inserting a piece of clip art on the event notice.

Entering contacts
Events aren't the only thing you can keep track of with Net.Events. You can also enter contact information. Net.Events lets you:

  • Add and access people's names, titles, and contact information
  • Assign contacts to categories, such as "Business" or "Personal"
  • Browse and insert contacts from this database when e-mailing people about an event

Entering tasks
If you want to keep a task list, you can do so in the daily view of the Net.Events calendar. Adding a task is easy: Predefined fields let you indicate the task description, deadline, urgency, status, and calendar to which the task belongs (your personal calendar, a department or committee calendar, etc.).

Searching
What with packed schedules, it’s easy to forget sometimes exactly when a particular event is supposed to take place.

Net.Events makes it easy to locate that elusive event. Simply go into your daily or weekly calendar view, and enter a key word or words in the "Search Events" field. Net.Events will search all your calendars and offer you a list of events that contain your search word(s), along with a summary and description of each date, its time and duration, and the option to edit or delete it.

Importing and exporting information
Perhaps you're already tracking your own calendar, contacts, and tasks in another scheduling tool, such as Microsoft Outlook or Outlook Express. Collaborative calendars don't have to require double entry. You can import and export calendaring and scheduling information to and from Net.Events in just seconds.
